I have been teaching music for over twenty five years both as a classroom music teacher and as an instrumental teacher.  Having led a successful music department in a large secondary school I now concentrate on developing the individual music skills of students and teaching primary classroom music.

I teach a variety of instruments to students of all ages and abilities and have taken students from beginner level up to Grade 8 and beyond.  Music is not simply about grades. I believe that the most important thing is that students enjoy learning to play an instrument.

I also currently run primary school orchestras, choirs, recorder clubs and whole school singing assemblies.  I have previously been a GCSE music examiner and moderator for Edexcel and AQA and am therefore able to help students taking GCSE music in developing performance and composition skills.

I have an enhanced DBS disclosure.
